In the US 173 million people watched 32.4 billion videos in January 2010 - & the monthly average is consistently over the 32 million mark.
In the UK the monthly figure was 5.5 billion videos viewed in February 2010. That's an increase of 37 percent on the previous year.
According to government statistics, in 2009 a total of 76% of the adult population in the UK accessed the internet in the three months prior to the survey & 83% (26 million people) also purchase online during that period.
It's a massive market you can't afford to ignore - & that's why UK advertisers now spend more on the internet than TV.
In the first 6 months of 2009 the total advertising spend online in the UK was £1.75 billion.
